In the Javanese calendar, the name of the day is closely related to the market, namely kliwon, legi, pahing, pon, and wage. Among the wetons, there is one day that is considered mystical and sacred, which is Friday night kliwon. In Islam itself, Friday is a night that has a special position because the only day that is the name of the letter in the Quran is Al-Jumuah. But the myth circulating in society is that Friday night kliwon is a night where the night is full of horror and scary stories. So through the event, we presented this time we want to release the stigma that has developed in society about Friday night kliwon.
This time we held an art performance that took place at the pendopo of the Royal Brongto Hotel by gutturalizing the culture of music, dance, and entertainment from various regions in the archipelago. the first is a bujang ganong mask dance from Ponorogo. Bujang Ganong or Patih Pujangga Anom is one of the energetic figures in the art of Reog Ponorogo. A hilarious figure as well as has more expertise in martial arts. So in every performance of Reog Ponorogo, his performance is always awaited by the audience, especially among the children of Bujang Ganong depicting the figure of a young Patih who is dexterous, strong-willed, ingenious, witty, and powerful.
The second performance is a plate dance from West Sumatra. A plate dance is a traditional Minangkabau dance that features attractions using plates. The dancers swung the plates in their hands following the quick and regular movements, without any plates slipping from the hands. The movement is taken from a step in the Minangkabau martial arts or silek.
For performances of traditional musical art, there are performances from the group's metiyem and svara alligators. Traditional musical instruments such as kecapi, siter, gongseng, genta, suling, sape, dambus, rapa'i, gandrang, and pui-pui well as modern musical instruments such as bass, the keyboard produce a perfect musical harmonization. Not to forget the vocal art from Java, Sinden that perfects the performance of Indonesian music.
And the last one is the art of Gandrung Kembang Menur dance. Kembang means flower, while the word menur is another name for jasmine flowers that have flower petals piled up together.
